How to prepare your drawing

Most delays start in the file, not at the machine. These six points usually save a day of messages back and forth.

  1. 01

    Contours must be closed

A line left open is not a cuttable contour. Join the ends at the same point — the machine cannot guess which side the material stays on.

  2. 02

    1:1 scale, in millimetres

Draw at actual size. A scaled drawing is the most common reason a finished part comes out the wrong size.

  3. 03

    One part, one file

Do not nest the parts on a sheet yourself. We do the nesting so that material waste stays as low as possible — that works in your favour on the price.

  4. 04

    Delete what is not cut

Dimension lines, text, borders and hidden layers easily end up as cutting paths. Leave only the contours to be cut in the file.

  5. 05

Hole diameter at least the material thickness

Anything smaller rarely comes out clean. If you need smaller, say so — sometimes it is better drilled.

  6. 06

    Remove duplicate lines

Overlapping lines are cut twice. That costs time and leaves a mark on the edge.

If any of this is unclear, send the file anyway. We will look it over and tell you what is worth changing.

Send a drawing and get a price

We answer by the end of the next working day. A drawing is enough — if anything is unclear, we will ask.
